The Subject (Season 3) — Episode 10

Why can the young one open the door? What did Sorin do? It is not what he did. It is what he became. The joining of two worlds. The long-tailed and the short-tailed. Short-tailed? Humans?

The short-tailed, of the land, who breathe air. The long-tailed and the short-tailed parted long ago. You are the first to join again. Us? Avern and me?

And your young one. He is both long-tailed and short-tailed. He is the circle made whole. So you want to take my young?

No. I want all the long-tailed ones to go home. Where is home? The Star Sea. Another door.

Beyond your planet's orbit. You're not native to Thaleria. You came from another planet. I came from the First Sea.

The source of all seas. Can sirens go there? If the young one opens the door. If the short-legged ones are willing to open it.

You've been waiting for a union of the long-tailed and the short-tailed? I have waited a long time. Time. Many cycles. You are the first short-tailed one to survive. He is the first young one to Others tried before?

Many. All died. The short-tailed ones died. The long-tailed ones died. The young were never born.
